Amendoeira Golf Resort - Faldo Course

The Amendoeira Golf Resort is situated on a 270-hectare estate in the heart of the Algarve, combining top-class golf with stunning natural scenery. The resort features three exceptional golf courses: the multiple award-winning Faldo Course, the O'Connor Jnr. Course, and Portugal’s only illuminated 9-hole golf course, the Academy Course. Designed by Sir Nick Faldo, the Faldo Course is a 6,578-meter long Par 72 championship course. Its strategic layout demands precise course management and thoughtful play. Instead of the traditional English heathland, the unique landscape is characterized by cacti, wild herbs, ancient olive trees, holm oaks, and distinctive limestone bunkers. The result is a challenging golf course that merges classic golf architecture with the unmistakable character of the Algarve. For its outstanding quality, the Faldo Course was awarded “Best Golf Course in Portugal” at the 2016 World Golf Awards. In addition to the golf facilities, Amendoeira Golf Resort impresses with modern infrastructure and a versatile leisure offering. Whether ambitious golfers, vacationers, or families, visitors can expect a high-quality resort that perfectly combines sport, relaxation, and comfort.
